The air is fragrant with the sweet, heady scent of freshly cut geranium stems and clusters of opulent garden roses. As the evening sets in, a harmonious chord of moss is carried through the air by a sensuous, woody undercurrent of leather and cedarwood.
Inspired by 8th century stemcups, Cecile's elegantly drawn vessel is characterized by a footed base, raised band, and flared rim. Poured and fired from fine white porcelain, the vessel is coated internally in a transparent glaze with a matte exterior. After burning, it can be repurposed as a vase for stems or a decorative object.
